Since 2000, mothers experiencing homelessness his ave been able to find hope and help for their families through the open doors of St. Louise House. As these women work to get back on their feet, St. Louise house provides affordable housing and essential services to help their families avoid homelessness in Central Texas.

Regina Mater is excited to have St. Louise House as a partner charity, and for the chance to provide some happy memories for these children.  In 2015, Regina Mater students made game books for the children of St. Louise House. This year, they will assemble holiday ornament kits that the children can put together themselves for the Christmas season.

The goal of Saint Louise House is to help families develop long-term stability. Saint Louise House has grown from the rental of five apartments in 2001 to ownership of two 24-unit apartment complexes with enough financial operating support in 2015 to help 34 families.

In an apartment-style housing environment, families are encouraged to be a part of the community as they work or attend school. To achieve the mission of empowering women with children to overcome homelessness, families are provided housing and a program that includes case management, counseling, life skills training and employment services. Saint Louise House collaborates with the families, partner organizations, donors and volunteers to serve the most vulnerable of our community in their hour of need—and in the months and years that follow.
